Virginia Speeding Ticket - 79 in a 65

My question involves a speeding ticket from the State of: Virginia

I was travelling on I-295 South and was pulled over for going 79 in a 65. I was travelling downhill which may have been a factor in why I was going faster than I expected when I was pulled over. The officer did not ask me why I was being pulled over, she simply stated: "You were going 79 in a 65".

I presented by license and registration and was given a ticket and sent on my way. This is a 2nd speeding ticket since my 1st speeding ticket which I was given in October 2006. I am trying to figure out ways to get the ticket dismissed if at all possible.

I am considering a lawyer but want to know if there is a less-expensive way to resolve this problem. I was told that If I took the Saturday driving course prior to going to court, it may help my case. Can someone please give me some advice on how to beat this ticket?

You mean, other than general advice? Not really. You haven't given us anything to work with.

Well, I guess I should also state that I had a calibration test done on my car, which stated that when I am travelling 83 my speedometer says that I am going 80, which I feel may have had something to do with the ticket as well. I just want to know whether I have a chance that the ticket will be dropped. I am trying to figure out the best way to go about getting the ticket dismissed in court, if at all possible and if there are any ways I can go about doing that. The ticket was not reckless driving, obviously, because I was travelling 79mph.
