Default Settlement Offer Is Too Low

My question involves an injury that occurred in the state of: Tennessee

Sorry about the title. It meant to be " I need help and advice " lol

I am 23 years old. I was in an automobile accident in april of this year. A state farm insured driver ran a redlight and hit the car that i was the passenger in. It hit on my side and totaled the car. I have $1800 in medical bills. I still have some aches and pains but I dont have insurance to get the proper care. I was diagnosed with general anxiety disorder in 2004. My disorder was under control for the last 2 years without medication, a psychiatrist, or any professional help. Ever since the wreck my attacks are back and I have been seeing a psychiatrist. She said that in her opionion my disorder has resurfaced due to the wreck and the aftermath. I work at a company that does telemarketing and timeshare tours. I was up for a promotion to I.T Director. My boss informed me that becuase I had missed work because of the wreck and my problems that they had to promote someone else because the job demands minimul time off. My boss wrote me a letter stating that I had missed 80 hours of work and missed out on a promotion that I wont be eligible for 5 years. State farm told me that they couldnt put a value on the loss of future earning capacity because I could have quit in a month or anything could have happen. I showed them the contracts I would have had to sign if I got the job legally binding me to the company for 5 years. I would only not make it 5 years if I died, the company went bankrupt, or I did something that severly hurt the company.

I had sent them a demand letter for $65,000 because I had loss the chance of making the $108,000 extra in the next 5 years. In total they offered me $18,800 for a settlement. $10,000 being for the loss of future earning. I declined there offer.

Should i take the $18,800 or stick to my guns? Should I deserve anything close to what I asked for? I am trying to hire an attorney but no one is returning my calls. What should I do?

Consider consulting a personal injury lawyer, and getting a sense of what a professional believes your case is worth. An initial consultation with a personal injury lawyer should be free.
