My question involves criminal law for the state of: Texas
My friend have been caught shoplifting 3 weeks ago (I think), and yes he was taken to the back, and yes he was given a citation, and YES, unfortuately I was WITH him, except I wasn't charged with anything. I was told to wait outside for a hour or two for him, he got a citation, and that was end of that. My friend said that he told the LPs that I was involved in this, so now when I go back to the store, they are going to do the same thing to me like what they did to him. I dont know if he is joking or if he is serious, but if I was no part of this, can they still press charge against me for something, because I was with him?

I am kinda sensitive about this, because I want to go to good college. I have high GPA and SAT score, so I dont want this crap holding me back because of my friend. BTW, my friend got Deferred Adjuctinari summthing....And alot of you are probably asking me why do I hang around with him, well I been knowing him far as I can remember, and hes my next door neighbor.
