Default Son 17 Moved in with 15 Yr Old Girlfriend and Mother
My question involves juvenile law in the State of: CA

My son is 17 and will turn 18 Jan 09, he has been seeing a 15yr girl that I did not approve of and during this time has been attending a charter school so he could return to a regular high school, I went to pick him up from school and he was not there, he sent me a text msg stating he could handle things on his own, mind you I had no clue he was thinking about this he left his school ID and everything at home, which I still have now, I figure out where he was, and called the girls mother she refused to answer the phone, until I left a vm msg stating I would send the police to her house, during that time my son has stated he does not want to stay with any family member he only wants to stay with this girl and her mother, I spoke to the mother and she stated to to me she saw nothing wrong in what she is doing and dosen't see what the problem is, they live in a 1 br condo, and also when my son went on a field trip for his school, she signed his permission sleep without my permission, I love my son deeply but I need to know what do I do in this situation I have had to police go to the house and they refused to answer the door, also with this age difference I'm worried he could wind up being charged with statutory rape, what are my options in this matter please help me on this issue

Do exactly what you threatened to - call the police and have the boy fetched back as a runaway.

Then have the girl's mother brought up on charges of harboring a runaway. She has overstepped her bounds, and it could get her into serious trouble.
