hi , removed chain , remove chain from the gear on any r/c garage door. you can just lift it open . in my case its a 8'long x 6' high plywood finish gate , I did contact Elcerrito police , officer came over to crime scene lol , and stated that it was legal for them to enter enclosed area to retrive car, then stated if car was parked inside a closed garage they cannot open the door to enter ... also while they towed my car off , conviently forgot to close gate now leaving possible theft from others wide open .. makes my face tight that I gotta pay these $&!*$ hundreds of dollars for grand theft cause lazy police dont know the laws or even take the effort to investagate by reading up on the laws and rights of the people who pay there salary ... thanks 4 your time
