Life is not always fair. Especially when it comes to the workplace.

I always think of that mock-Hallmark card that goes something like this:
Congratulations on your promotion.
Here's your knife back
I assume you'll need it for someone else.

When faced with your situation, the best bet really - for your happiness and future - is to start to discreetly send out resumes elsewhere.

Please. It was like this when my GRANDFATHER was a kid. Employment has NEVER been "fair".

"At will" came about as a cure of sorts for indentured servitude.
