Storage Company Wants to Sell Car

My question involves collection proceedings in the State of: South Carolina.

I am working to try and get a car back from a towing company. The car needed repair, could not pay and has been in storage for over a year. Now they want to try to get title to the car, and sell it.

I am working for a bank that has title to the car, tow company never told us they had the car. When we finally located the car, the owner of the tow company said we owe them 25 $ a day.

What can we do to get the car back?

Pay the bill. Why was the car towed in the first place. Was it left abandoned on the side of the road when it broke down. Was it towed from a parking lot after being left for a period of time. Did you have the vehicle towed to the repair shop then not be able to pay the bill.

A tow company can take possession of a vehicle that has been left in there lot after a period of time. Even if that vehicle has a lien against it.
