I have a similar problem as this but with a few variations. I am also in Jackson County MS and there is a landlocked piece of National Forest land directly behind me. I just found out that they are going to auction this property off. How can this be legal if the property is completely landlocked? I am not really interested in trying to purchase this land because it is not very good but I feel pressured to bid on it (closed bid) just to prevent someone from buying it and forcing me to give them access. Can I be forced to give access to someone who is knowingly purchasing landlocked property?
