    Default Do the Police Have to Read Your Miranda Rights To You?

    Recently I was arrested for a minor in possession of alcohol. As far as i know, it is mandatory that a police officer must read your miranda rights. The officer did not read them to me nor to my friend. Is it true that if these rights are not read, no charges can be filed against me?
