My question involves child support in the State of: Mississippi. In my divorce my exhusband was ordered to pay back child support of $1,500 by April 10, 2008. He was also ordered to pay half of the medical expenses that were a result of our third child, as well as my oldest daughter's band instrument. I have given him copies of all of these bills, and copies of checks that have been used to make payments/payoffs to these accounts. He has not paid anything to me or offered to make any arrangement to pay for any of these things. I currently receive child support through an order for withholding with his employer, but there has been one occassion where he did not work a full week and therefore the child support was dimished greatly. My question is, what process do I take to file comtempt without having to go through my attorney? When I filed for divorce in October 2007 it was on grounds of adultry, after many months of going back and forth and being told by my attorney that working out certains issues with my ex would make things go a lot smoother. The divorce finally ended as a no fault, mainly because I had been worn down emotionally and was ready to just get it over with. I basically walked away from everything and it still cost me $6,000! Please help.
