Default Girlfriend Wants to Move in with Me (Indiana)
My question involves juvenile law in the State of: Indiana

My gf is currently 17 and will turn 18 in 4 months. She has recently got kicked out of her mom's house and is staying with me/friends. We have already tried to get her emancipated but her mom will not sign the papers. My mother doesnt want my gf to move in without legal documentation of guardianship, whih my gf's mom will not do.

1. I am wondering if a signed paper with my gf's mom's consent will be enough to insure that we will not get into any kind of trouble.

My gf's mom already said that she wouldnt call the cops on us or anything like that but my mom is not sure of my gf's moms actions.

2. If a signed paper will do, what steps should we take to avoid any trouble (since we live in 2 different towns)from SSC, school, etc.

Also, my gf's mom wont sign the papers because I believe that she gets money from Social Security for her living with her.

Long as her Mom is consenting to her staying there your fine. However she can withdraw that consent at anytime and demand her return home. If Mom does then she should be returned promptly

If your friends mother has denied her shelter and food, yet is collecting SSI or other benefits on her behalf, she is committing welfare fraud.
