    Default My Unborn Child

My question involves paternity law for the State of: Virginia

I am due in a few weeks and have a question about paternity.
My husband and I are happily married but the child I am pregnant with is not his and we both know it.
If he is named on the birth certificate which is something that will happen because we are married, will I still be able to go after the true father for support / visitation of the child afterwards? Or will this forego any ability to establish paternity with another man?

Default Re: My Unborn Child .

Since you are married your husband is "presumed" Father someone Bio Dad or you will have to start a paternity action to set up any visitation/support/custody orders.
