Child Support Arrears In New Jersey

My question involves child support in the State of: New Jersey.

I live in another state but my Child Support case was in New Jersey. From the time she filed to the time I was require to pay (3 months) I accumulated arrears. Part of my weekly payment goes toward arrears. My child is 17 years old and the weekly amount taken out for arrears almost equals the amount of the arrears from when her mother filed.

Why am I receiving bills from CS stating I owe arrears when they are already taking them out from my paycheck? Do I owe 2 arrear amounts? Which is crazy because was taken to court because the mother wanted more money not because I wasn't paying support.

Any assistance/advice would be deeply appreiated...

You should contact your case worker regarding this bill. He/she can best advise if it's a clerical error or if there are other arrears.

I actually typed this thread while being put on hold. I have been on hold for an hour listening to a recording. Eventually gave up at 5:00pm and decided I will try back tommorrow at an earlier time.
