My question involves criminal law for the state of: Pennsylvania
I live in a rural Pennsylvania community and recently I have caught my township supervisor snooping around on my property, without my permission. The first time he was on my land he was walking around my lower field, and I am still not sure what he was looking for, but just last week I caught him in my barn, going through my tools.
He claims he has the power to inspect my property without notification, and as far as I know, I have done nothing to warrant these so called inspections.
I have lived here all of my life and owned this property for over 30 years.
My question is, does he really have the right to come onto my land without informing me first? Besides, if he would only ask me I would let him here without question, but it has been bothering that he thinks he has the right to “inspect” my land without my permission.
Thank you for your time
