I was arrestd with felony shoplifting in March of 1997 and then the charge was upgraded to Grand Larceny. The judge dismissed the case and an expungement order was placed in January 2000.

I assumed that I was cleaned until 2003 when I applied for the chicago police department. They screwed up at the Hinds County Court House. Five years I thought I was clean. Can I sue them?

The DA's office entered in a new order this past June, and the MSNCIC just gave the FBI the information on the 15th of November. Can I sue them?

Will the chicago police still be able to see my expungement even if the FBI has not removed it from their data base?

Government immunity almost certainly applies, even if you could identify the employee responsible for the error.

Will the chicago police still be able to see my expungement even if the FBI has not removed it from their data base?

If your record is maintained by the FBI, anybody checking your record with the FBI will see it.
