My question involves criminal law for the state of New York.
When somebody is given an ACOD for one year, what happens when the year is up? Does anything show up on the person's record? Is it totally erased? Is it sealed?

When somebody is given an ACOD for one year, what happens when the year is up? Does anything show up on the person's record? Is it totally erased? Is it sealed?

The case is dismissed and only local law enforcement has a copy of the arrest records.
To the best of my understanding, it is no longer part of the public record and does not show up on background checks.
I'm not a lawyer, but I play a researcher on the internet!
