My question involves a reckless driving ticket from the State of: Culpeper, Virigina.

Ok so im 21 and last friday (May 23,2008) i was traveling along Rt3 East, going home towards culpeper, i was about 5-7 minutes from my house and when i came up the hill i seen a cop taking radar, i looked down noticed i was traveling 80 MPH in a 55 mph zone, i pulled over on the right side of the road not even 3 feet from him and had my license and reg. ready for him when he came over to the side of the road, he asked my i was traveling so fast and i told him becuase i left my gas range stove on and i was in a rush to get home, he then asked how my driving record was and i told him it's clean, other then a Defective equipment and Improper Child restraint (my uncles fault, not mine.) that was last july, this is my first speeding/reckless driving ticket, ive never been giving a ticket before for speeding in the past. my court date is june 5th of this year, i was wondering if someone could give me the min. and max. of first time offense, and what im looking at from this stupid idea i had to get home quickly. oh, and the county i live in, i just moved here may 15th of this year, i had to ask the cop where the court house was... its like 3 minutes from my house...so can anyone help and figure out if i need to hire a lawyer and what i could be possibly looking at for this traffic charge?
