Default Child Out Of Control
My question involves juvenile law in the State of: Florida
My son is out of control continuosly skipping and getting suspended. Failing grades into drugs. I know he has commited crimes just not caught. Has ranaway adn has trespass warning to several locations. What are my legal options. We have shared parental custody and cannot agree on how to handle him. I'm held legally responsible for a crime he might commit and is there a cost to me or the residental parent?

Another thing you can look into doing is getting in touch with your local police agency and ask them to speak with someone thats over the juvenile division and they would more than likely give you a great sense of directions of what to do with that child. They will know all the options, if any, you have as parent.

Is your son in counseling? If not, that's the first thing you should do.

Depending on his age, the juvenile court may or may not be able to help. I went through this with my son years ago and the juvenile court finally placed him in a dual treatment center, for drug use and bi-polar depression. But, it took alot of counseling before the Judge could do that.
If your son is already in counseling, talk to his counselor about what options you have.
