Default In A Car Accident Where Someone Was Injured

i was in a car accident last week i am not sure what happed but its possible it was my fault and i crossed the center line and hit another car headon possible blacked out but still dont know for sure if it was me since i dont remeber the actual collision. but anyway somone was hurt in the cross a womam who maybe broke her hip. and she also had 3 2 kids with her about 17-19 in ages who had minor scrapes.

now i have full coverage insurace including liability and if im at fuault and if she wants to sue which its quite possible will my insurance take care of it all including lawyers and all that.

im mainly worried becouse i have a good amount of money in savings and own property and i dont know how this all works with being sued over a car accident.

You didn't mention the state that this happened in.

However, short answer, the insurance company should cover the damages up to your policy limits. If the damages exceed your policy limits, you could be sued for the difference.

Well, then at this point it is just a guessing game. Wait and see what happens and hope it will be settled within the limits of your policy.

You may also think about going to the doctor, if you did blackout/faint/pass out... you may want to find out what caused it.

Most claims are settled within the policy limits. However; if you are sued, your ins. co. will defend you up to your policy limits as the other responder noted.
Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.
