My question involves estate proceedings in the state of: VA
Where can I find sample letters to contact banks, creditors, etc. for a family member notifying them of my family member's death? I already found the VA Website for forms needed to probate the will.

Ask the court clerk's office if they can help you out, for example, by providing copies of letters from another estate that you can use as a model. There may be a book on probating estates in the county law library or a nearby law school law library that includes sample letters.
