My question involves paternity law for the State of: Texas or Florida. Texas ruled it didn't have personal jurisdiction to order child support over father, who lives in Florida. Texas doed have subject matter jursidiction.
Father signed Acknowledgement of Paternity and the time to recind has passed. His name has been added to the birth certficate. During the special hearing the subject of a DNA test came up and the judge even said it was not needed since he signed an acknowlegement. Yet they continue to ask for a DNA test. What could be the motivation at this point to keep asking for one? He is married, and I am thinking maybe his wife wants it, or his attorney has something in mind. I know we don't have to submit to one, I am just trying to understand why it keeps coming up. He is the father of the child, and I have nothing to hide.
