Question Father Requesting DNA Test After Signing Paternity Acknowlegement

My question involves paternity law for the State of: Texas or Florida. Texas ruled it didn't have personal jurisdiction to order child support over father, who lives in Florida. Texas doed have subject matter jursidiction.

Father signed Acknowledgement of Paternity and the time to recind has passed. His name has been added to the birth certficate. During the special hearing the subject of a DNA test came up and the judge even said it was not needed since he signed an acknowlegement. Yet they continue to ask for a DNA test. What could be the motivation at this point to keep asking for one? He is married, and I am thinking maybe his wife wants it, or his attorney has something in mind. I know we don't have to submit to one, I am just trying to understand why it keeps coming up. He is the father of the child, and I have nothing to hide.

I assume that he thinks if he can show that the child is not biologically his, that he will not be held responsible for child support.

Besides the fact that it is his, its my understanding that once you sign an acknowlegement you are parent in the law's eyes. If you don't recind it during the appropriate time period then that's it too. He was given an opportunity to do a dna test before signing and didn't. Now someone is advising him he should do one.

I am not worried about the test results. I am trying to figure out why an attorney would advise him to get one at this point.

The only person who will be able to answer that question is the attorney who gave the advice. None of us know what is going on in his head.
If you wanted babies all to yourself, you should have created them by yourself. Until you do that, children have the right to BOTH parents, especially since you found them suitable to procreate with.
