    Default Fighting For Guardianship

My question involves guardianship in the State of: Missouri
I really need some advice. I am seeking guardianship of my nephew, his father signed guardianship to me, the mother refuses. They were never married. She is a known herion addict and works as a stripper and prostitute. We have proof of her drug abuse and prostitution. Our lawyer has petitioned her to take a drug test and she refused. I have cared for my nephew for one year up until last wekend when his mother popped back in and took him. She also stoped taking him to school. The police nor DFS seem to be helpful. My nephew does have a court appointed guardian that has all this information. My question is.... Do I have a winning chance?? I hear all the time of children whos parents are junkies be given back to them. I'm really worried for my nephew and am spending thousands of dollars on this issue. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Your lawyer can give you a much better assessment of your chances than anybody here.

If mom violated court orders by taking him, your odds just went up.
