New Jersey Child Custody

My question involves a child custody case from the State of: New Jersey
I have a 3 year old Autistic son with my boyfriend. (Not married!)Our relationship is dead and I would like to move out and move to Delaware to live with my mother.I cannot afford to live on my own with my child.My boyfriend is telling me I cannot leave the state with the child.What are my options and can I just take the baby to Delaware?

Just don't understand how I am supposed to live in the same house with the father while filing for custody.
I am being threatened by him and his parents. Telling me if I leave with my child I will be breaking the law.
He wants me to move out but not out of state. He is mentally abusive at times and is doing drugs. I thought under such circumstances I would be able to move out of state and then file for custody.
I have already looked into Autisitic schools for my child in Delaware and my mother can help me and my child financially and give us a safe home.

You can leave. Dad can then file in HIS jurisdiction for the return of the child. I suggest you get a job and learn to support yourself in your current area.
