    Default Cannot locate the Biological Father

    What do I do if I have no idea your the bio-father is at. My husband wants to adopt my son. I live in California and I need help.

    Default Finding Biological Parent

    You can try to track him down by using an investigator - a national records search is pretty cheap these days. If you can't find him, you can ask the court to permit substituted service - which will be some combination of public posting, service on a last known address, publication of a notice in the newspaper, etc.
