Man A will most likely not want to father this baby, though it would be nice to remain in contact for health reasons...
Seems like the next step is to tell Man A about the baby and ask if he wants the papers made up. Him signing them and being able to have no responsibility will probably make him happy.
Thanks, now I have a plan.
Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes
DOMESTIC RELATIONS (TITLE 23)
CHAPTER 25. PROCEEDINGS PRIOR TO PETITION TO ADOPT§ 2503. Hearing(d) Putative father.--If a putative father will not file a petition to voluntarily relinquish his parental rights pursuant to section 2501 (relating to relinquishment to agency) or 2502 (relating to relinquishment to adult intending to adopt child), has been given notice of the hearing being held pursuant to this section and fails to either appear at that hearing for the purpose of objecting to termination of his parental rights or file a written objection to such termination with the court prior to the hearing and has not filed an acknowledgment of paternity or claim of paternity pursuant to section 5103, the court may enter a decree terminating the parental rights of the putative father pursuant to subsection (c).
(e) Right to file personal and medical history information.--At the time the decree of termination is transmitted to the parent whose rights are terminated, the court shall advise that parent, in writing, of his or her continuing right to place and update personal and medical history information, whether or not the medical condition is in existence or discoverable at the time of adoption, on file with the court and with the Department of Public Welfare pursuant to section 2905(d) (relating to impounding of proceedings and access to records).
Since OP is not married and likely wont be married for very long a step parent adoption is at least a year away. However that isnt what OP wanted to know. She wanted to know that if she is married will her husbands name go on BC and be listed as "Father". Yes he will but since Mom "knows" hubby is not Father and ha snot told "Real" Father of her condition she is committing fraud and basically stealing this mans child to give to another. OP yes hubby will be listed as Father if your married when child is born. However as I stated you know this is not true and could be fraud not to mention the moral issue of denying a man you had no problem laying in bed with a chance to be a Father to his child!
INCORRECT. You cannot just go to an attorney and have him "draw something up." The only person that can terminate someone's parental rights is a judge. Nothing more, nothing less. Anything just written up and signed is only worth the paper it was written on.
Personally, I hope the father of this child finds out you're pregnant and pursues his constitutional right to be a father to the child the both of you made... since you found him suitable father material.
If you wanted babies all to yourself, you should have created them by yourself. Until you do that, children have the right to BOTH parents, especially since you found them suitable to procreate with.
That is what we call in the law a Backdoor Adoption. If the OP and her husband to be want to have the child adopted, why not suggest that she take the LEGAL route?
I mean honestly, how do you think this is all going to play out when the OP and her husband-to-be divorce and now NO ONE wants to be obligated to support this child? Is anyone thinking about the child in this thread (besides Panther) or is everyone looking at what is convenient to the already irresponsible adults who want to make this look like this may be better for the poor kid in the end?

One more time. Yes Mom can get away with.If child is born and Mom is married hubby is presumed Father. Unless Mom says different thats the way it will go. However if "real" Dad finds out he can then seek paternity test to prove he is Father once that happens the ball game is over for Mom's fraud game. Mom will need to be married at least one year before step parent adoption can be considered. Mom also is not displaying much morals as she attempts to steal this child from its Father. If Mom wants to display lack of morals than that sup to her since Bio Dad is unaware she is even pregnant she could get away with it. However once again she is attempting fraud if this is her plan now will she see charges not likely. Adoption is not issue yet and is some time away
