Smile Question/Comment Reguarding Vehicle Repossession In TN
My question involves an auto loan or repossession in the State of: TN

Long story short....I purchased my vehicle March 9 2008 My note was due April 9 2008 along with an additional $300.00 due 2 weeks after purchase for complete down payment.

Well, due to financial situations, I was unable to pay either. They have come to my house looking for the car and have called me. I have spoken to the investigator.

My situation is that I purchased the car in TN and that is my resident, but I am a college student currently in MO. The investigator said that the company can file a lawsuit on me for "Auto Theft" and some other lawsuit for taking the car out of Tennessee without their knowing.

They have still yet to come pick up the car and I am still in a financial hole right now, but I will be home from school May 8 and thay can get the car then!

Im just looking for advice and if this lawsuit that they are threatning is true.

What other legal actions can be taken against me for this matter, and what should I do now?

You don't get to tell them how long you will be using their car without paying for it.

If you don't return it to them... and since you haven't made even a single payment... plan on auto theft being levied against you.
