Default How Necessary is an Immigration Lawyer

I am just curious to know how necessary a lawyer is in the whole change of status filing process? I realize he/she will be able to provide us with the right information and what to do when and where; but is it ok to do it on your own? I am planning on marrying my love in summer of next year, and just am trying to plan ahead. I was told by one person to get a lawyer, but is it worth the money to shell out, when I can download and print the same forms from the internet? Sorry this is long winded, but thank you for any input or advice.

Default Submission of Forms By Yourself

If you are comfortable submitting the forms yourself, there's no reason you can't do so.
