My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: California
I was driving to school at 6am for my class at 7am and had woken up a little early so i decided to take the freeway to get to school for the first time. i usually take the streets because i am told morning traffic is horrible. so i enter the 22 east freeway at about 6-615am when it was still dark (my first time on this freeway) i had gotten into the very left hand lane, while had broken up white lines just like the rest of the freeway. about 2-3 miles down i see the large sign that says Car pool lane only, so i merge out. there were several cars at that time speeding past me pretty fast so i slowed up to about 65 to let them pass so i could merge left. i gradually make my way over to the very left hand lane of the freeway and my speed had been reduced to 60mph in a 65. I was about to speed up again when I was pulled over by the CHP. Asked me what i was doing. I relplied going to school, i had accidentally gotten into the carpool lane because it wasnt indicated with double yellow lines and that i was just going to school. He told me I was gettin pulled over for going too slow but then wrote me a ticket for being in the carpool lane.
Would anyone know if there is any way to win when i go to court? and i am also a new driver.
