I'm a permanent resident in the United States with a conditional Greencard through marriage. I received my work visa November of 2007 and then the Greencard on February. The relationship went bad and he wants me out of the house, he wants anything government issued (social security card, Greencard: can he take these from me? because he has already) back because "he got them for me." I plan on going back to Korea because I came to California for him, but I'm wondering how much time I have before I need to move out of the United States so I can get everything settled. I was never here illegally.
Is my work visa no longer valid since it was given as part of getting the Greencard?
If I stay in an apartment until everything is settled, is this okay or do I need to reside in the house with him?
Once the divorce is final, what time period is given before I must move out of the U.S.?
What is the ineligibility period for me to re-enter the states after I leave?
How long is the wait before I can apply for a visa (visitor visa to visit relatives, or maybe student visa to attend school?)
Thank you very much for your time.
