Default Debt Collection and Non-Exempt Property
I recently received a Verified Motion for Proceedings Supplemental order. I have to appear in court for a loan with my credit union, that I have been unable to pay($3,600). I have to take proof of my income and assets. The only thing I own is a 1986 mobile home. I am unemployed, on TRA and am wondering if they can take my mobile home from me? Or will they put a lien on it? I am in Indiana.
Thanks

Default Debt Collection
You would enjoy a $15,000 residence exemption (or $30,000 for a married couple who jointly owns the residence), and a lien could be imposed on any equity beyond the exemption.
