Default Renewing A Drivers License, J1 Visa Overstay

Currently my girlfriend is here illegally because she left the Au Pair agency she was working for because they would not let her switch to a third family (so she switched on her own). She currently has a valid Driver's License until September 2008, but would like to renew it. Her I-94 is valid until the middle of June. Is it possible for her to renew her driver's license still? Or is her I-94 invalid since she left her agency (they told her that she is now illegal since she left the agency and a lawyer we consulted also said she is already illegal).

For her States DMV, it says an I-94 is required for renewing her Driver's License...I just need to know if her I-94 is now invalid since she left her agency. Are all of the forms she attained at the time she left her agency now invalid? (SS# and I-94).

Also, she lives in the state of NJ.

I think she has bigger worries than renewing her driver's license right now.

She needs to get an attorney and get her visa issues straightened out, unless the idea of being deported and banned doesn't bother her.

She is aware of this right now...thats why i posted this in this forum. If you wanted to post a response like that, you might as well post the same response to everyone in this sub-forum.

She is willing to stay here illegally until I am done school and have a job (in my last 2 years of college). After that we plan on marrying and going through that whole headache of a paperwork / money process. And no, she doesnt have the 2 year requirement on her Visa.

If you're going to be rude to people who are trying to help you... well, don't expect any more help.

She can try renewing her driver's license, presenting her I-94. She'll either succeed or not, but I've never heard of somebody being arrested at the DMV for failing to present a valid visa.

I'm just saying...she was just stating the obvious. If I didn't know that already I wouldn't be posting in this forum in the first place. It's just like me telling everyone in this forum that they should consult a real lawyer ASAP or else they may be deported. The reason why anyone posts here is to see what they can do without having to go to a lawyer first. Thank you for YOUR help because your response actually pertains to my question (where as hers didnt).
