    Default Is It Mine Now?

    Hi, my question is I have a car that was left on my property about 3 years ago, the registration has lapsed as of 2006, how do I go about legally claiming this vehicle ? THANKS IN CA.

    You might call the police and see if they will tow it as an adminstrative tow as abandoned property or if you can move it put it on the street. City will get it at some point. In my state you can advertise it as abandoned property and after 30 days get a title. I don't think is worth the hassle. Your state should have a list of approved tow companies that deal with abandoned cars. Call one of them if you just want it gone. Good luck.
