Default Can Someone Confirm Or Deny This?
My question involves workers compensation law for the state of: Louisiana

I would ask this question to my own attorney, but hes out for the next week on vacation.

I had a injury on the job, permanent partial disability. I was told by a friend who has the same, that his attorney said that if he could get another job(light duty), and that was the only kind of job he could get because his injury doesnt allow him to ever do is previous job(where he got injured) ever again. He said that the WC would pay him the difference of his normal check at his previous job, If his new light duty job doesnt pay the same.

so basically, What he told me was that since he cant go back to his old job, and can only get a light duty job that doesn't pay nearly the same as his old one. That WC will pay the difference from his check he makes now, and the check he used to make(averaged over 4 weeks).

so if he made 5,000 a month(average) at his old job, and he only makes $2000 a month(average) now at his new job, WC will pay him the additional $3,000?

Is this correct are is he mis-informed?

Wait for your lawyer to get back.
