I live in San Gabriel, California.
I have recently moved into a new house in this area from another city, and I have tried to look for signs that prohibit residents from overnight parking. Apparently, a cop gave me a ticket for overnight parking, which I could not ever imagine would be a violation since I've just moved in.
I've traveled up and down on the specific street (it's actually the street that my house is located), and I have found no such sign(s) stating that I could not park between 1 A.M to 6 A.M (The ticket stated that I could not park in this time frame).
Do I have a chance in the court? I honestly would pay my due fine if there is enough evidence that I am at fault. Apparently, I am not.
Also, if they post a sign, say, 2-3 blocks away from the cited location, could I still be fined under this circumstance? There is no way that I would know, because 1)I just moved in, and 2)there were no goddamn signs.
Thanks for all the help.
