Default Unfair Towing In A Residential Area

My question involves a condominium located in the State of Colorado:

I own a condo unit. I had my second vehicle parked there, I moved it at least once per week and during snow storms as a property manager had recommended. One day, a fellow resident called to inform me that my vehicle was gone. The HOA had towed it. Once I recovered the vehicle, I noticed that a sticker had been placed on the vehicle with a 72 hour warning dated the very same day.

This seems like it could be illegal. To remove a vehicle from a residential parking lot without adequate warning. Is it? Does anybody know the laws regarding towing a vehicle from condominium parking lots?

    Thanks!

Your vehicle was towed because... ?

The bylaws say what about towing?

It sounds like you were parking an unauthorized vehicle on the condo property in violation of the bylaws, and thus were towed. Does that about sum it up?
