Bad Police Report - Mistaken Identity

My question involves defamation in the state of: Nevada

I just found out the following:

A couple of people in a small neighbor hood where I own a rental property got into a verbal arguement regarding one of them trespassing and remove personal property. One of them filed a police report and used my name as the offender. I used to be on the HOA Board, so she thought I was the guy. I don't know the complainer and I rarely go to the rental house, as I have a good tenant at the moment. On the days of the complaint, I had oral surgery and was home with an ice Pack drooling blood.

I only found out about the complaint, as the HOA management company was nice enough to let me know.

I am trying to figure out what I need to do to get my name cleared of this complaint.

Have you called the police department to let them know that the wrong person is named on the report?

They should be able to help you get the matter corrected.
