Default Lien On A Workers Comp Settlement?
I live in MA. I was recently approved for disability (SSDI), I spoke to my w/comp claims adjustor and let her know that although I have not received anything in writing, that I was told verbally that I was approved for disability. She said that SSDI may put a lien on my settlement..what's up with that???

The lien is for something called a Medicare Set Aside, and is meant to cover your medical expenses.

Missy--thank you for taking the time to reply. as this is all new to me--could you elaborate--how much money are we talking about? I'm very confused about liens put upon my settlement--I feel that w/comp should be liable for future medical if it is related to my initial injury. Any clarification would be welcomed.
