I just turned seventeen and my girlfriend is sixteen and pregnant. We both are in highschool and neither of us works.
Will I have to pay child support?
Will my parents have to pay child support to her since I do not have a job?
We live pennsylvania.
If she keeps the baby, will I have to pay support after I finish school?

Okay, I'll PO the right to life crowd with the first part of this, but the long term implications of either actually bringing this child into the world(is abortion a legal choice at this point?) or not putting it up for adoption are simply not good for either you or the mother. Yeah, a few couples have babies very young and go on to lead successful lives, but many of these only because their parents look after and provide both time and money in this effort. Most child parents struggle in poverty for a long time for their choice - if they stay together - and most don't. They don't continue their education because of the need to provide for baby, a large portion of their income is spent providing for it, mama doesn't have time to work, her work becomes a zero net-sum game barely covering child care costs, and so on. The reality of it usually sucks.

This may sound really cruel, but as you asked for legal advice, unless your parents and/or hers are ready and able to foot the bill, get rid of the child by any legal means available. Abortion or adoption.

What a stupid statement! Yea I'm sure that the entire world will keep it's pants zipped because of the genius in your answer. The fact of the matter, is that over 90% of the world unzips it's pants every minute of the day. Only religious freaks & people who are incredibly homely or antisocial keep their pants zipped. You should really think before you speak. So, because it feels good, we should forget that sex has lifelong repercussions? We should forget that the primary purpose for sex is not pleasure but procreation?

If you aren't old enough to see what long term responsibilities can result from a casual tumble, you aren't old enough to have sex.

The rest of this will be written to the young man who came here for help. Right now, Child support is the least of your problems son. You have a child coming into this world. You gotta make a decision now!!! Where are you going to stand? Your girlfriend is pregnant. If there is enough time for her to abort, then you should make your feelings known to your girlfriend immediately!!!! However, if there is no more time for that, then you should be a man & help your girlfriend in any way that you can. Personally I believe that you are too young for children. If there is time to abort, then you should do that. . .

Ohhh... so, to recap...

Sex is for fun. If a child results, kill it. After all, children are disposable and this one has committed the capital crime of being inconvenient.

What capital offense has the child committed? For what reason has the death penalty been handed down?

And before you state that abortions do not terminate children but only a bunch of unformed cells, talk to a woman that has had one.

Ask her if she cried on the way home when she had a mole removed.
Ask her if she cried on the way home from a Pap smear.
Ask her if, in the time since, she ever wondered what would have become of that wart she had removed if she never would have had the procedure done.

You are trying to trivalize that which must not be trivialized. The moment we trivialize human life and state that it can be exterminated because it is inconvenient or uncomfortable, we trivialize all human life a bit.

Pregnancy is a temporary condition. Death is not.

I'll also add that my memory is incredibly sharp. I remember learning to walk & wearing diapers. I am well known in my family for my memory. But I do not remember being in my mother's womb. Keep abortion legal & keep the loosing Bible crazies out!!!

I'll answer that! The death penalty should be imposed on any religious freak who tries to infringe the rights of others. All wars would stop, the world would be a peaceful happy place. Kind of like Heaven! And yes, ALL homosexuals should be allowed to merry & be left alone.
