    Question Who Can I Contact?

Hello, Ok this is the situation I am in. I have a outstanding dept that is with Bank of America for around $6000.00. I have not been able to pay them and they have not been very accomidating when it come to making payment plans or taking the fees and interest off so it was eventually charged off and turned over for collection. Well, the other day a certified processor went to my parents house and asked if I lived there (in which I don't) and my dad told him I did not. He told my dad it was paperwork information on a credit card. Dad said I didn't live there and he didn't know where I lived now. So they are looking for me and I imagine it is to serve me a summons to get a judgement. My questions is should I contact Bank of America again and try to set up payments before this actually goes to court or is it too late since they already have a summons for me. What if they can't find me to serve me the papers? I want to pay my dept but would have to do it in payments.... I just don't know the best way to do it without getting a judgement on me. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.

They've already sued you. At this point you need to work things out with the lawyer representing them in their lawsuit, or (depending on your financial situation) consult a bankruptcy lawyer.

Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.
