Question Leaving A Job While On Workman's Comp
I was injured at work on Christmas, and have not yet recovered. I was accepted to Grad School yesterday, but wary of leaving as I'm not sure if my company is required to continue my treatment if I leave. Also was told that workmen's comp will stop the day I give notice. I live in Florida, and would be attending school in North Carolina

There can be a real issue finding doctors who will take payment from a worker's comp carrier in another state.

You were told this by whom? You should continue to get full medical benefits even after you leave your job. You're not indentured to a job, just because you were injured there.

my primary care doctor (not the doctor treating the work injury) told me that all benefits would stop when I left the Company; however at this point i'm afraid to confirm with my company for fear of pre-emptive termination

Your medical treatments will continue to be covered. You will no longer receive wage replacement benefits.
