License Renewal Blocked

I have a CA driver's liscense issued in 2005 but was blocked for renewal by the state of OH for two tickets in 1999 (one of which was a DUI in which I never went to court). I got a printout of my current DMV record which is spotless. Can OH suspend me without a conviction retroactively? Can OH block me indefinitely? Is there a statue of limitations that could be considered and if so, HOW can I get my current liscense renewed??

it has nothing to do with a conviction. You failed to show up in court to defend yourself. I suspect you have a failure to appear arrest warrant floating around Ohio right about now. That could get you detained in California possible.

In some states, failure to appear does become a convinction by default so you may also have that to deal with.

So, since youtried ignoring your legal responsibilities and they have caught up to you, what do you wnat now?

Go and take care of your Ohio situation because yes, this could affect you forever.

and no, the SoL does not apply because you have already been charged and you left the state so the charges can wait forever for you.

Oh, btw, Ohio and California are members of the Drivers License Compact .
DLC - . An agreement between these states basically says you have only ONE drivers license record.
