Felony Expungement In Louisiana

In 1999 I pled guilty to a felony charge of 2nd Degree Battery. Now, 9 years later I am trying to further my education in a nursing field. The problem is I can't get into my clinicals with a felony conviction. Do I even qualify for an expungement under the provisions of article 895?

Article 895 deals with the conditions of probation and does not negate the penalty of the conviction.
