My employer owns commercial real estate bought with funds of tenant-in-common investors. Many of our loans are in default, we are getting lawsuits and threats of lawsuits every day. The investors haven't received monthly payments for several months. We have been told there are only funds for payroll through the end of March, but every payroll there are rumors of no funds. My firm is under investigation by several agencies. After several others have quit, the remaining people are extremely overworked and stressed. Plus, some of us fear an angry investor will actually show up with a gun, and that the owners/executives may be misappropriating funds. I can not take it any more, but I am sole support for my household and will face financial ruin if I can't get unemployment. Do I have grounds for a forced quit?
