Default Company Was Bought And Benefits Are Being Changed

I was wondering if somebody can give an advice.
I accepted the offer from the company in MA about a month after it was bought. I signed the offer letter with certain benefits. About year and a half the new merged company cancelled the time off between christmas and new year, basicly took off the week of vacation.
Also, I was supposed to have stock option, but it never happened, I was told the old company plan no longer existed and the new one was not rolled out.
So I wonder if they can change the conditions of agreement (in the initial offer) and if they can't should I bother to try to do something about it. Thanks.

Default Re: Company Was Bought And Benefits Are Being Changed

Barring a bona fide and enforceable contract (not offer letter, contract) that specifically says otherwise, benefits and other terms of employment can be changed as needed.

It is quite common, and quite legal, for benefits to change in a sale or a merger situtation.
