I purchased a used 2003 vehicle almost one year ago. When I bought it, it had 28,000 miles on it. 8 months after buying it, I received a letter from GM stating that there was some kind of recall on the speedometer, that may cause problems, and if so to take it to my local dealer to get it fixed for free. Doing so, my dealer ran a vehicle inquiry and found there was a recall done on the tailgate in 2005 in which an odometer reading was logged at 77,000 miles, rederring my vehicle ineligible for the recall. I have all the paperwork showing this odometer reading and have retained councel. I am just wondering what to expect as an outcome to this case. I am simply asking them to take the car back, reimburse my payments since the purchase and pay my legal fees.
