    Wink Re: Noise Complaint

    OK,

No I am not making a claim it is soundproof. You can hear us play from the trailer park. However, its level is below 85DB. I have not measured from the trailer park yet, but half way to the trailer park is lower than 85DB. The further away you get, the less sound you will hear. All I am claiming about insulation is that I have made reasonable efforts to contain the sound in the play room.

I think its a penal code not an ordinance. I did skim over the penal code and what I quoted in my first post was all I found that pertained to noise. Hardin county has no ordinance that I could find, only the penal code. I am between two cities and the sherriff is the one that showed up.

I will look up the penal code again and read through it, but I don't think I missed anything. The way it reads to me is it has to be louder than 85DB's to be unreasonable.

Should I call a local judge or the sherriff's office and try to be proactive?

    Thanks for all your help!

funny...........I kinda thought that would be a bad idea. I guess I'll have to plead my case with the officer or Judge when the time comes.

Thanks for all the replies. This place is by far one of the coolest places to go on the net.

Judges and cops are kind of funny that way when someone says to them, "In case I might get arrested sometime in the future, I want to tell you my side of it now."

Strange, I know, but that's the way it is.
