    Default Colorado Minor Definition

    Hi,

I'm 17 years old...turn 18 in August. However, I graduated from high school in January. According to the Colorado workforce laws, because I have graduated from high school I am no longer a minor.

My question is: does this apply to the rest of my life as well?

Am I still considered a minor legally, or am I free? I ask because I live in a messed up home situation and want to get out. A 26 year old very friend of mine has offered to give me money to assist me in running away (not looking for judgement...just legal advice). This person has also offered me to take me anyplace I want to go. The question is - is he legally culpable for doing so?

I guess the key question is...am I still a minor.

    Thanks for your assistance.

If you still refer to it as "running away", you are probably still a minor.

Yes, you are still a minor.

When you turn 18, you will be considered an adult.
