Default Estimate Of The Value Of Lost Future Wages
Hey Mr. Knowitall or someone,
Someone recently posted this" I don't know exactly how much you are making or made before, but based on simply a straight 40 hour week at a $25/hr difference in wages, your 66.66% difference would be a minimum of $667 per week for 42 years. At a 6% rate of return the present value of your future payments is well over $500,000 This is a very crude estimate. And it's not legal advice. The advice is that if you don't understand this process you need help from someone who does"

Mr. Knowitall or someone, how did they figure this estimate, I am on worker comp and make the max that I can in california, $1680 every two weeks, will this be a deciding factor in my settlement? And what will they have to pay me out on for years, do they pay out for an estimate of retiremant age of 65, I'm 31, injury happened in 06. I have 2 injuries and one was caused from the other, do I get more for that? This whole expericence is out of control. I dont have an attorney and do not think that I need one. What if I can't go back to my job? My injuries consest of my hand and my left arm? Most jobs consist of using our hands. What do you think?
Please let me know thanks.

Default Re: Estimate Of The Value Of Lost Future Wages
If you want to know how somebody calculated a particular number, you should ask the person who provided the calculation. If you are interested in trying to determine present value of a future income stream or damages, there are numerous calculators available online that may help.

Your individual case is already under discussion in your other thread.
