Missy,
I don't think that you give very good advice on here. I have heard that I can hire a criminal lawyer and can have the charges dropped by a judge. Why do you give people advice and you dont have the credibility. How old are you? I have looked at some of your reponses to other questions and they have been totally wrong. I am seeking someone with knowledge in my area.
I don't even know why I am seeking advice from someone who quotes Ben Franklin using the work "niggardly".
senior judge,
There is a such thing as a Judge Retracting a warrant you know.
The origin of the word is offensive. I personally wouldn't use it, I know that Ben Franklin used it in a monetary form and that may be how you are using it. It still comes off offensive and may deflect your credibility on here giving advice.
"Niggardly" (noun: "niggard") is an adjective meaning "stingy" or "miserly", related to the Norwegian verb nigle. It is cognate with "niggling", meaning "petty" or "unimportant", as in "the niggling details".
"Nigger" derives from the Spanish/Portuguese word negro, meaning "black", and probably also the French nègre, which is likewise a racist insult derived from negro (the ordinary French word for "black" being noir). Both negro and noir (and therefore also nègre and nigger) ultimately come from nigrum, the accusative form of the Latin word niger, meaning "black".

Controversies about the word "niggardly" have occurred on a number of occasions in the United States due to the phonetic similarity of the word (an adjective meaning "stingy" or "miserly") to the racial slur "nigger", though the two words are unrelated. David Howard incidentOn January 15 1999, David Howard, a white aide to Anthony A. Williams, the black mayor of Washington, D.C., United States, used the word in reference to a budget. This apparently upset one of his black colleagues (identified by Howard as Marshall Brown), who incorrectly interpreted it as a racial slur and lodged a complaint. As a result, on January 25 Howard tendered his resignation, and Williams accepted it.[1]
However, after pressure from the gay community (of which Howard was a member) an internal review into the matter was brought about, and the mayor offered Howard the chance to return to his position as Office of the Public Advocate on February 4. Howard refused but accepted another position with the mayor instead, insisting that he did not feel victimized by the incident. On the contrary, Howard felt that he had learned from the situation. "I used to think it would be great if we could all be colorblind. That's naive, especially for a white person, because a white person can't afford to be colorblind. They don't have to think about race every day. An African American does."[1]
